Frequent Questions
  • What does Affiliation mean?
Bowls is like most other sports in that it has governing bodies at Local, State and National levels.  For any club members wishing to participate in organised bowls such as individual club social days or more importantly pennant or state events, they need to be affiliated with Bowls Victoria.  This fee is $75 per year which comes out of the fee we ask.   For Example: a $205 affiliation becomes $130 if you do not wish to be affiliated through our club.
  • What is Dual Membership?
You may be a member at another club and affiliated with Bowls Victoria through them but wish to use our club facilities for practice anytime or to obtain discounts throughout the club. This is what the Dual membership is set up for.You don’t have to be a dual member to use the greens in which case a green fee will be required instead.
  • What other types of memberships are available?
There are several membership packages outside of these main categories.   For Full time Students over 18, there are 2 fees.   $95 for students wishing to be affiliated or $20 for those who don’t.  Non affiliated students can still use the club’s facilities but cannot enter club events or state events.
  • Can Social Members practice on the greens?
Social memberships are designed to take advantage of club discounts. As the Greens are part of the club’s facilities as is the function rooms, you can use them at a discounted rate. You also get discounted rates for barefoot bowls. Social memberships are a great way to become part of the club and sample what the club has to offer.
